Day 4-6 London to Paris

25th July

First destination : St. Paul's Cathedral.
Everyone got ready and we took tube to that place. Initial plan was to go inside the cathedral to visit but grandma was too lazy to walk. So we just stayed around that place for a while.

The night before bro and I were reading bout people saying how amazing the view is from the dome right at the highest level at this cathedral. Too bad we didn't go in. Hmm.

The door looks like those ancient kind where the king would walk out with pride..
Something many would dream of, ey?

That's the dome.

Around that area, still.
After that we went to Oxford Street.

And when it comes to Oxford Street,
it's none other than for shopping!

Plenty of shops along the street..
Some branded some not..
Seriously shop till you drop! Haha.

Esprit's fitting room.
After hours on the street, we decided to pamper both
our tired legs and thirsty throats.
Unfortunately, there weren't any cafe nearby or so..
Then we walked pass Hamleys; a very very HUGE toystore
& bro said they served some drinks there.
So of course we went in & the whole time I was really amazed.
It's so wonderful inside.. Just the perfect heaven for kids I'm sure.
Saw one really creative toy I liked but it was too costly..Hmm..
Btw they sell very cute-looking bears called Hamleys bears too.

Ordered yogurt expecting it to turn out tasty as always..
But it was way sour and simply abnormal
& it cost about RM 20..
Notice the spoon however..

I don't think I've seen any gold spoons before so far.

Took cab to London's China Town for more..
CHINESE FOOD! Haha.
I'm surprised the one in Manchester looks better.
It's still crystal clear in my head that that meal we had was about RM 350.
W/ only 4 dishes and rice for 4 people.

Once again, took the tube back to Southwark where our hotel, Novotel (they charge 1 pound for 10 mins of access to the internet) was located.
26th July

Time to join Trafalgar's Tour together w/ Mum, Grandma, Bro and his girlfriend. Hmm. Got up really early and took a cab to the meeting place. Once everyone was there, the journey began. We were heading to Port of Dover then went on the ship to go to the outskirt of France. Long, long journey and I felt so sick that time.

Anyhow we still made it to France. Then continued to journey to..
MARIE DE PARIS! (pronounced marie di parie)

Checked in, freshened up and the tour continued.
Went around the city center, sightseeing and had dinner too, at Mcdonald's

Well, the food in McD is just about the same to me compared to Msia, that is.

But the place is definitely better; cleaner and nicer atmosphere.

Triumphant Arch.
I tried so hard to listen when the tour guide was telling about this arch..

I did get some facts but it's too bad I've forgotten all
.
I know lah, might as well no need to listen right. Lol.

I love the grills they have!
Wide range of designs..So Paris..

After dinner, we went for a cruise along River Seine.
Saw many beautiful sights.
Constantly comparing it with Msia, I realised our lifestyles are really different from theirs. While cruising along the river there were plenty of people by the banks. From reading, kissing, eating, dancing, and simply just chit-chatting. Definitely relaxing and probably the best way to stay out of the usual hectic life.

Among my favourite bridges.
It has a story behind it but I wasn't really paying attention.

A church, perhaps?
Not really sure.
Random pictures along the river. Nice huh?

This is what happens when you have a younger sister sitting just right behind you.. *evil laughs*

After the cruise, we joined the tour for some night illumination thing.
Most of the time, we were in the bus.
They brought us to see Eiffel Tower (which we were going to visit the next day)..

One of the places they brought us to as well.. But I forgot the name already.

Beautiful, isn't it?
But those lights only lasted for 10 minutes.
After that it's back to normal blue lights which of course before I saw this, impressed me already.
It was around 10.30pm by then but still quite bright as you can see.
Went back to the hotel and that's about the 1st day in France.

27th July

BONJOUR PARIS!

Just take a look at how they clean their streets..
No doubt it will look absolutely clean and perfect but can you imagine the amount of water wasted?
Doing
the same thing in every street in Paris, everyday? Hmm.
Nevermind bout that.

Anyway Cle, this is for you. Haha. I tried taking it as quick as possible.
Still turned out blur though.
Enlarge it and appreciate my effort ;P

I forgot what this is too. But I have a feeling it's a hospital.
So as scheduled we went to the Eiffel Tower, again.
Slightly different this time cause it is in the daytime and we are going UP!

All these machines were what got us up there.
Of course, you could climb too.
But it's not meant for lazy people like me!
Though one day I would love to try climbing.

Spectacular view from Level 2 of the tower.

All pictures taken from/in the Eiffel Tower.
They also have a souvenir store and a restaurant up there.

After that, we were on our own cause we didn't join the tour for their optional tour anymore.

With the aid of a map, bro led the way all along.

Went to all the destinations with the most natural means of transportation; our legs.
Tiring yet fun. I liked the idea of traveling with a map and being independent.

Stopped at this place cause of the golden door/gate.

And this thing, it was shooting out water..
Whether it was for drinking, washing or was it some kind of holy water,
I really don't know.

Along the way, we stopped by to have our lunch.
Japanese food this time. I know its pretty weird, but yeah..

While we were about to enter a park which will eventually lead to the
Louvre; world's best museum. I think.

Inside the park.
Didn't really feel comfortable as I was slowly melting under the searing heat. Haha.

Eye of Paris behind? I don't know if it is but should be.

The end of the park. I was so glad cause it was such a long walk.
It's the biggest park I've ever been to.

The pyramid.. The one where Da Vinci Code was filmed.
Has it got a name? Idk.
And that's the Louvre behind.

Got so tired and I just needed to rest somewhere..
Was sitting so peacefully till some guard came and shoo-ed me off.
Damnn. I can't believe I still remember almost everything so well.
Grandma complained that it was so hot and stuff so we decided to head back to the hotel.
We asked directions from people and they said it's within walking distance.
So of course thinking we could reach the hotel and at the same time save money, we did.
Along the way, we did stop and asked to make sure we're in the right track.
One guy said we were gonna reach in 5 minutes.
But after 5 mins there was no hotel to be seen.
Then we asked another person who said another 20 minutes walk..
Still, none. Then after bout 30 minutes walk, we finally saw the hotel!
Hahaha. So freaking happy.

All these pictures taken while on the way..
Went back to the hotel and slept right away.
Woke up in the evening, had dinner at a restaurant nearby and went shopping for awhile.
All the malls are closed pretty early around 8ish.
So all we did was went back to the hotel and dozed off eventually.

GOODBYE PARIS! *waves
